Groq is seeking a Business Operations Sr Manager to lead functions relating business ops within Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Data Center, and Enterprise Technology functions. This position will report to the VP of Operations and will own the budgeting, planning, forecasting, and risk management, with strong collaboration with the Finance team. As a highly visible role among internal and external stakeholders, the Business Operations Sr Manager will play a pivotal part in ensuring compliance and scalability in line with the company's rapid expansion across the US and international locations. This position is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and supporting Groq's continued domestic and global growth ambitions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operations Business Office Leadership:
    • Manage Business Operations relationships across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Data Centers, and Enterprise Technology.
    • Own and communicate Forecasting regarding budget, capital expenses, and operating expenses, for month-over-month and year-over-year views.
    • Own budgeting, based on Finance team guidance for year-over-year plan of record, and planning future years.
    • Track spending and costs with partners, including risk and opportunities to cost controls.
    • Create project plans that align supply chain to manufacturing to data center, with respect to budgeting and spend.
    • Manage IT and SaaS subscriptions for optimization efficiency.
    • Manage headcount planning for staff and contract services.
    • Aid in vendor scorecarding and management to ensure we are receiving expected goods and services at quality.
  • Cross-Department Relationships:
    • Collaborate closely with Finance, Accounts and Billing, Procurement, and Engineering.
    • Maintain a strong focus on aligning activities with business needs, ensuring efficient and strategic outcomes.
  • Vendor and External Stakeholder Relationships:
    • Cultivate and manage strong relationships with external stakeholders and vendors to support long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • System Savviness:
    • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
    • Demonstrate an aptitude for leveraging new tools and systems to scale the business effectively.
  • Big-Picture Thinking:
    • Advise internal teams on strategies with a focus on the big picture.
    • Evaluate needs from both a business and financial perspective, always seeking to optimize outcomes for Groq.
  • Metrics and Reporting:
    • Track key metrics to monitor efficiency, cost savings, and overall effectiveness of activities.
    • Regularly report on performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
