Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field, with an MBA being preferred. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management is required, along with at least 7 years of experience with automated systems, material handling, or digital warehouse technologies. Strong leadership, team development, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, as is experience in resource planning, project management, and budget oversight. Proficiency in analyzing operational data and a strong understanding of compliance standards and safety protocols are also necessary.

Responsibilities

As the Director of Operations, the individual will lead multiple warehouse and customer site operations, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer expectations. They will partner with Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) teams to validate warehouse capacity planning and scalability, drive achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through action planning and performance reviews, and build strong relationships with customer leadership teams. The role involves translating customer needs into operational enhancements, collaborating cross-functionally to resolve issues, analyzing workloads and allocating resources effectively, overseeing staffing and training, implementing operational policies, and leading special projects related to scaling automated systems and digital warehousing solutions. Furthermore, the Director will manage project timelines and budgets, and be responsible for travel up to 75% of the time to customer locations.
