Parallel is seeking a Business Development Representative to serve as the primary point of contact for students and schools seeking care. This role involves introducing Parallel's services to prospective clients through B2B marketing and referral partnerships, following up with leads, and ensuring clients are well-informed about Parallel's offerings.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in business development OR 4-5 years of experience in the classroom.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Prior experience in business development, sales, or account management.
• Strong and empathetic verbal communication skills.
• High level of comfort making cold calls.
• Ability to think on your feet and problem-solve.
• Attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
• Hunger to learn, grow, and succeed in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify new business opportunities based on key customer profiles in school districts and other relevant organizations.
• Apply sales development best practices using email, phone, and social outreach to connect with new prospects.
• Utilize discovery and objection handling strategies to speak knowledgeably with decision-makers and build interest in Parallel's offerings.
• Engage with prospects to articulate Parallel’s value proposition.
• Record contacts and outreach using the CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce).
• Consistently achieve and exceed program targets.
