Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) Foodservice Sales, with prior experience calling on K-12 Segment customers and fostering top-to-top relationships. They must demonstrate understanding of the K-12 supply chain, knowledge of USDA Foods, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, along with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
As a Business Development Manager, the individual will be responsible for delivering top-line sales and bottom-line profit targets for K12 customers, focusing on increasing penetration with existing customers and acquiring new ones. This includes building and managing relationships with K12 customers, developing customer-specific business development plans, executing strategies to drive brand and category growth, managing USDA Foods inventory, coordinating with field sales management, identifying growth opportunities, and accelerating team performance through strategic partnerships and collaborative efforts. They will also participate in business planning activities, provide K12 insights, and act as a role model within the team.
