Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development, solution selling, or B2B sales
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in commission-driven environments
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a similar role
  • Experience in industries such as software, insurance, telecoms, legal tech, risk/compliance, or subscription-based services preferred
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to engage confidently with senior executives, partners, and decision-makers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills — articulate, persuasive, and fluent in English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and internal teams
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively
  • Highly self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently without close supervision
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Able to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple client sales deals effectively
  • Degree in Law or Business is advantageous, but not essential; ability to grasp legal/technical solutions is key
  • Proficient in CRM software and other relevant tools for managing customer accounts, leads, opportunities and sales activities

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, target, and acquire new business opportunities within the legal sector and selected corporate industries
  • Conduct solution-based sales engagements including client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations (face-to-face and virtual)
  • Research industries and prospective clients to tailor product packages aligned with client requirements
  • Drive targeted sales campaigns, including sector-specific initiatives and participation in marketing-led activities
  • Represent the company at industry events, seminars, and conferences; generate leads and follow up post-event
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry bodies such as law societies, bar associations, and chambers
  • Effectively manage sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate forecasting, and achievement of sales targets
  • Demonstrate strong diary and time management, balancing prospecting, client engagement, follow-ups, and reporting
  • Achieve revenue targets
  • Achieve activity levels as required for the BDM role
  • Identify new clients and new business opportunities, as the primary focus of this role
  • Expand the account base through proactive prospecting, networking and new logo acquisition
  • Create demand for the organization's products and services by raising their profile with customers
  • Analyse market trends, sales data and competitor activities to stay ahead of industry developments and opportunities
  • Provide regular reports and updates to management on account performance, forecasts, and key metrics
