Candidates should have at least 7 years of enterprise software sales or business development experience in Europe with a proven track record of full-cycle, quota-carrying success. Experience in security/IT tooling or adjacent domains is a plus. Familiarity with public-sector procurement in the EU/UK, including frameworks and tenders, is advantageous. Strong analytical and commercial skills, including the ability to size opportunities, build ROI/TCO cases, and forecast accurately using CRM and BI tools, are required. Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and executive audiences are essential. Fluent English is required, with French and/or German strongly preferred, and other European languages being a plus. The candidate must be a self-starter who thrives as a founding individual contributor, demonstrating proactive prospecting, disciplined execution, and comfort operating in ambiguity. Strong alignment with Mozilla's values, including purpose-driven work, transparency, and diversity, is also necessary.
The Business Development Lead will own pipeline generation and manage full-cycle deals for Firefox Enterprise across Europe, from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closing. They will build a self-sourced pipeline through targeted outreach, industry events, partner referrals, and inbound qualification. Responsibilities include engaging CIO/CISO/IT stakeholders with value-based discovery and tailored demos, navigating procurement and regulatory reviews in partnership with Legal, Security, and Finance, and driving land-and-expand motions by managing initial deployments and supporting renewals. The role involves creating and iterating on early playbooks for repeatable motions in the region, maintaining CRM hygiene and forecast accuracy, and collaborating with Marketing on demand generation and localized collateral. Additionally, the lead will represent Mozilla at conferences, build and manage a network of European channel partners, and champion Mozilla's privacy-first values while ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
