Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, petroleum, or environmental) preferred, or related field with at least 5 years of experience or equivalent work experience exposing fundamental theories, principles, and concepts
  • Previous experience as a Business Development Specialist in a related industry
  • Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software, such as NetSuite and Salesforce
  • Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Availability and willingness to travel up to 50% within North America (U.S. and Canada)
  • Technical understanding of water and wastewater treatment systems and chemistry (preferred)
  • Experience in industry verticals: Power, CPI, HPI, and Food (preferred)
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (preferred)
  • Skills in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business operations: Evaluate and expand business operations to drive sustained growth
  • Monitor revenue streams and identify opportunities to increase profitability
  • Evaluate and improve sales, marketing, and branding strategies
  • Perform competitor analysis to gain increased market share and develop new lines of business based on consumer behavior
  • Develop client relationships and strengthen industry partnerships
  • Negotiate and close business deals that promote sustained revenue
  • Develop and communicate a clear strategic vision, anticipate trends, and align team efforts with long-term objectives
  • Mentor junior colleagues, share knowledge, provide guidance, and support career development
  • Influence and inspire others through strong communication, credibility, and relationship-building with stakeholders
  • Propose creative solutions and manage improvement projects throughout their life cycle, ensuring strategic alignment and deliverable focus
