Business Analyst, Patient Growth

Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 per year (plus up to 10% performance bonus) Location Type: Hybrid (Field-based with flexibility to work from home and visit Manhattan office)

Position Overview

Talkiatry is seeking a Business Analyst, Patient Growth, to serve as a critical partner in bringing analytical rigor to the marketing organization. This role will work closely with executives and operational teams, reporting to the Director of Business Operations, Marketing Strategy. The focus will be on patient growth across acquisition to retention, involving the development of dashboards, reporting, marketplace analysis, experiment design, growth accounting, and creating a holistic view of the patient lifecycle across various touchpoints.

Responsibilities

  • Measurement & Reporting:
    • Build frameworks to track the patient lifecycle from acquisition and activation to retention and discharge.
    • Develop operating and executive-facing dashboards to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Business Analysis:
    • Analyze workflows to identify risks and opportunities to improve marketplace dynamics and resource allocation for the marketing team.
  • Opportunity Sizing and Market Research:
    • Conduct competitor research to understand industry comparables and benchmarks.
    • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities for the marketing team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with data, finance, and product teams to solve complex problems.
    • Deliver insights that drive decision-making.
  • Leadership & Communication:
    • Present insights to senior executives and founders, focusing on patient acquisition and media spend impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Math, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a relevant quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business operations, consulting, investment banking, product analytics, marketing analytics, strategic finance, or data science.
  • 3+ years of experience and expertise in SQL or related database languages (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle, Vertica, Hive, MySQL).
  • 1+ years of business or financial analysis experience using Excel (VBA, pivot tables, Power Pivots).
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, ThoughtSpot, Omni).
  • Experience in experiment design and statistical concepts like causal inference and tests of significance.
