Position Overview

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Reporting Analyst to collect, clean, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights. The role involves maintaining data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Data Collection and Cleaning:
    • Gather data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and APIs.
    • Clean and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
    • Transform raw data into a suitable format for analysis.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Utilize statistical techniques and data mining tools to analyze data and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
    • Develop and implement data quality checks to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
    • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions and support decision-making.
  • Data Visualization and Reporting:
    • Create visually appealing and informative data visualizations, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards.
    • Maintain regular reports to track goals and metrics.
    • Collaborate with team members to understand their reporting needs and tailor reports accordingly.
  • Data Governance:
    • Follow data governance procedures to ensure data security and privacy.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry's best practices and latest data technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
  • Relevant experience supporting a sales organization with working knowledge of systems and tools like Anaplan, Microsoft Dynamics, or Salesforce would be an advantage.
