Candidates should possess equivalent experience in construction bookkeeping, with at least 1-2 years of experience in the construction industry, proficiency in construction-specific accounting software such as QuickBooks, Pivot Tables, and a strong knowledge of job costing, construction project accounting, and compliance requirements.
The Construction Bookkeeper will maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company and individual construction projects, manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank statements and financial accounts regularly, track and allocate costs to specific construction projects, monitor project budgets and provide reports on variances, process payroll for construction workers, prepare and file tax documents, ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, generate financial reports, and manage vendor and subcontractor relationships.
