Requirements

  • Ability to pass Ishihara's Color Blindness test (reasonable accommodations considered if failed)
  • Capable of moderately active physical work, including walking, standing for considerable lengths of time, and bending down to floor level
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as repairing/maintaining equipment, with use of two-person assist program and equipment for heavier loads

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, test, and repair water treatment equipment, dialysis equipment, medical equipment, testing equipment, and mechanical/electrical systems per manufacturer recommendations and FMCNA procedures
  • Document all maintenance and repairs
  • Conduct and document safety checks and routine tasks timely
  • Perform housekeeping checks, follow up on issues, clean and disinfect water treatment equipment
  • Maintain and calibrate all testing equipment
  • Ensure areas are safe, clean, with maintained environmental integrity and aesthetics
  • Conduct building maintenance as needed
  • Coordinate medical waste disposal
  • Collect, organize, and restock supplies; assist in ordering/receiving disposables and creating SAP purchase orders
  • Assist in monthly/quarterly inventory of supplies with cost reporting; evaluate and report equipment inventory
  • Ensure visibility to patients via daily walk-throughs during treatments, reinforce UltraCare™ and customer service, provide tours/explanations of water treatment equipment
  • Process water and dialysate samples, package for shipping
  • Participate in technical QAPI activities documentation
  • Drive FMS culture through values and customer service standards; provide outstanding service, develop relationships, resolve issues timely
  • Provide assistance at other facilities/acute programs, transport equipment/supplies as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
