Native fluency in Bengali and strong written and spoken English are essential, along with a thorough understanding of the localization process. Proficiency in standard software like Windows and Office, CAT tools such as XTM or SDL Studio, and issue tracking tools like JIRA is required. The role also demands excellent interpersonal and communication skills, expertise in at least two subject matter terminologies, the ability to meet tight deadlines, provide constructive feedback, present information effectively, solve problems, interpret instructions, and train others.

Responsibilities

The Bengali Linguist will perform translation and copy-edit tasks, and provide lead support on assigned projects. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining language materials like glossaries and Style Guides, handling project-related queries, and ensuring good interaction among team members by resolving terminology and language questions. The role also involves training internal linguists and freelancers, participating in process development, meeting productivity KPIs, and achieving goals set by the Squad Lead.
