Candidates should possess auto painting experience or collision repair technical school training, demonstrating vision abilities including close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. They should also exhibit toughness and grit to work outside in various weather conditions, along with strong organizational and communication skills, manual dexterity for repetitive-motion tasks, a strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently. Furthermore, candidates must have physical stamina to kneel, bend, squat, and climb, and be able to lift up to 45 pounds, holding a valid driver’s license and maintaining a good driving record.
As a Wheel Technician, responsibilities include using the latest tools and techniques to restore wheels and wheel covers, removing wheels, repairing them in a mobile truck, prepping and buffing defects, mixing colors, and finishing painted surfaces. The role also involves inspecting wheels, placing them back on the vehicle, and interacting with customers to build accounts while maintaining a fun and dynamic team environment. Additionally, technicians will participate in three weeks of training at Dent Wizard facilities with Master Wheel Techs, developing technical and customer service skills, and potentially advancing into higher tech levels or management roles.
