Application Support Engineer

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and have at least 2 years of experience in a technical support or engineering role, with a strong understanding of Linux administration and debugging tools such as strace. Familiarity with DevOps practices and experience troubleshooting complex software environments is preferred.
As an Associate Support Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a mix of Self-managed and GitLab.com customers by resolving their issues through various channels including Zendesk tickets, merge requests, email, and video conferencing. You will collaborate with Product, Development, Infrastructure, Customer Success, and Sales teams to build new features and fix bugs, create and update documentation, and participate in on-call rotations for emergency support. Additionally, you will contribute to projects such as analyzing strace output, capturing server states, creating interactive log tables, and developing ChatOps functionality.
