Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, along with 3+ years of relevant IT work experience encompassing cloud environments. They must hold an AWS Cloud certification and demonstrate knowledge of Java and microservice development and deployments, including understanding of business processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, task and project management, and organizational skills are required, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, knowledge of computer systems, databases, and SharePoint, as well as familiarity with Splunk and AppDynamics.
The Production Support Engineer will serve as the first line of defense for production and test environment issues, collaborating with the team to identify, manage, and resolve ongoing incidents. They will troubleshoot and connect with appropriate teams to effectively triage issues impacting test and production environments, perform systems monitoring of applications within the IRS domain, create service tickets, and advise management on HR-related risk mitigation strategies. Furthermore, they will keep stakeholders informed about upcoming maintenance, manage and communicate about test environment updates, liaise with stakeholders for alert communications, participate in analysis and improvement of system performance, host daily operational standups, provide additional support to existing procedures, and submit application redirects for planned maintenance.
