Requirements

  • Configure and manage Microsoft Teams Phone for Voice Users (enable users, assign licenses, dial plans, numbers, emergency addresses, calling policies, usage locations)
  • Enable users for Direct Routing (assign voice routing policies, numbers via PowerShell, enable voicemail and Enterprise Voice)
  • Enable per-user calling features (group call pickup, call delegation, call forwarding, simultaneous ring, audio conferencing, dial-out policy)
  • Plan and design Microsoft Teams PSTN solution (choose connectivity, identify requirements for Calling Plans/Operator Connect/Direct Routing, licensing, network topology, Certified Contact Center integration)
  • Manage phone numbers for Teams Calling Plans and Operator Connect (porting/acquiring numbers, port orders, conversions, configure Operator Connect)
  • Configure phone policies (install PowerShell module, tenant dial plan, calling policies, call park, caller ID, outbound restrictions, inbound blocking, compliance recording)
  • Configure auto attendants and call queues (design call flows, deploy, channel-based queues, resource accounts, licenses, phone numbers, Microsoft 365 Groups for voicemail, holidays, custom Music-on-Hold)
  • Design network infrastructure for optimal Teams Phone performance (network readiness, Network Planner, local internet breakout, VPN split tunneling, QoS requirements/policies)
  • Extend Direct Routing infrastructure (Location Based Routing, Local Media Optimization, gateway translation rules, validated emergency address)
  • Monitor Microsoft Teams Phone (configure CQD tenant data upload/reporting labels, Power BI reports)
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Teams clients/devices (debug/media/browser/desktop logs, configuration profiles, notifications/alerts)
  • Troubleshoot Direct Routing connectivity (firewall, certificate, SIP options issues, SBC SIP traces)
  • Good experience working on IP telephony solutions
  • Fair understanding of network basics (additional network certifications preferred)

  • Monitor Teams Phone using CQD and Power BI
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Teams clients, devices, and Direct Routing connectivity
