Requirements

  • Incident Management & Response for RPA bots (60-70% of role): Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and respond to incidents to minimize downtime in support of RPA portfolio
  • Automation & Infrastructure as Code and System Reliability & Performance (30-40% of role): Ability to independently develop scripts and automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management to maintain high availability and performance of production systems
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills and highly adaptable to changing circumstances
  • Experience in reliability engineering and monitoring practices, environments, and tools (e.g., cloud ecosystem)
  • Expertise in RPA as a Platform Leader
  • Object-oriented development skills
  • Ability to work in ambiguity and accept failure
  • Superb communicator with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively on a team, including with remote team members
  • Innovative and curious about new technology for business process efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support critical robotic process automation (RPA) portfolio
  • Reduce support footprint through automation and observability
  • Create reusable application components with intent toward self-service
  • Engage in software development and system engineering related activities
  • Collaborate within Global Business Services to promote reliability engineering during all phases of the software lifecycle to detect and correct performance issues across current portfolio, finding optimizations or reductions in RPA use where possible
  • Identify, assess, and reduce support footprint by recommending and implementing automation and observability practices
  • Proactively influence development to enable long-term growth and lead the organization in new development to ensure optimization in end-to-end application lifecycle support
  • Monitor service level objectives (SLOs) to support system operations and ROI through dashboard development and KPI tracking
  • Define and champion reliability engineering practices among engineering and product teams, participate in communities of practice, and mentor others through collaboration
  • Create AiOps, workflows, and utility scripts published as IaC (Infrastructure as Code) to reduce hands-on support needs long-term
  • Work and collaborate effectively on a team to define, design, and deliver new features, ensuring execution and implementation support the enterprise roadmap
