Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
At least 5 years of prior experience (financial services exposure is a plus)
Proven record of delivering solutions used in production at scale, with high degrees of parallelism, accuracy, and uptime
Proven record of building high-performance cloud native solutions on public cloud (AWS preferred)
Experience with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
Experience working with data lakes, data warehousing, and/or database systems, including data frameworks like Trino, Spark, Pandas/Polars, Iceberg, etc
3+ years of experience building data centric applications in Python
Comfortable working with existing SQL and C# codebases
Ability to write elegant code and comfortable picking up new technologies independently
Experience leading projects or teams is a plus
Experience with Helm and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred) is a plus
Experience managing stakeholders and expectations is a plus

Responsibilities

Participate in building a data and HPC platform that meets the scalability and processing needs of Research and Research Systems
Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, scale, security, cost effectiveness, and high availability
Implement features and capabilities of the next generation system, accelerating deployment time in a collaborative development environment
Achieve high quality metrics through automated testing, robust operational tooling, and reliable designs
Lead/participate in code reviews and contribute actively during pair programming sessions to enhance quality of delivered artifacts
Participate in support rotations of production systems for Research stakeholders
