Requirements

Applicants must be U.S. persons and possess 5+ years of software engineering experience. Required experience includes building and maintaining container orchestration software platforms, utilizing CI/CD processes for software and GitOps for infrastructure, and employing modern observability technologies. Experience interacting with internal and external customers and service providers is also necessary. Preferred qualifications include building APIs at scale for data access, systems analysis, troubleshooting and design with an understanding of hardware/software interplay, production experience with geospatial data formats, and experience with distributed teams.

Responsibilities

The Data Platform Software Engineer will develop and operate a robust platform for data and ML pipelines using satellite and geospatial datasets. This role involves scaling and maintaining Muon’s data workflow orchestration platform, collaborating on and improving data and ML pipelines, and providing expert support for data platform solutions. The engineer will also collaborate with satellite and payload teams to define data requirements for Muon Space data products.
