Associate Director, Project Support Services

The Associate Director, Project Support Services will lead and manage staff to ensure project support services are delivered successfully within defined parameters of time, quality, and cost. They will provide direct supervision, support, training, and mentoring to their staff. This role involves assisting in resource utilization, policy development, and implementing goals by collaborating with leadership to improve business processes. They will represent project support services in global and cross-functional initiatives. The position requires ensuring that project support teams have the necessary resources and support to complete deliverables, liaising with other departments, and developing strategies for optimum performance and achievement of targets. They will facilitate meetings to identify risks, develop contingency plans, and communicate risks and solutions through appropriate escalation pathways. The role includes reviewing and assessing project finances, managing resource levels, inducting new managers, conducting performance appraisals, and developing staff through goal setting and feedback. Additionally, they will manage overall budgeting activity and staff, including interviewing, hiring, professional development, performance management, and separations. Approval of time records, expense reports, and leave requests is also part of the responsibilities.
