  • Understanding of root cause analysis for troubleshooting challenges and cascading company vision
  • Accountability for meeting sales, profitability, and P&L budgets
  • Experience in community engagement, hosting events, and supporting volunteer opportunities
  • Knowledge of industry and competitor trends
  • Capability to oversee product strategies, Gameplan sets, visual standards, and product life cycle execution

Responsibilities

  • Hire and build strong teams by partnering closely with the Executive Director or Common Purpose Director to create targeted hiring strategies and actively recruit within the community to reflect served communities
  • Follow standard operating procedures for performance management, handling teammate discipline, appraisals, performance concerns, and making recommendations for termination and advancement
  • Directly manage teams in assigned departments (Apparel, Footwear, and Hardlines) and provide dotted line management in other store areas when serving as Head Coach or MOD
  • Lead through coaching and development by providing in-the-moment coaching, creating space for leaders to identify opportunities and solutions
  • Serve as point of contact for implementing training initiatives, conducting one-on-one conversations, facilitating workshops, and role play exercises to meet athlete needs
  • Partner with peers to deliver great Athlete experiences in specialized areas (e.g., Rockwall, MultiSport Cage, Social Fitting Room, Golf Services)
  • Conduct data digs using financial and operational tools to uncover trends, build strategies, control expenses, and drive sales for maximum ROI
  • Utilize Legion guidelines, workload planner, and budget to build effective schedules across assigned departments
  • Cascade the company’s vision and direction to align teammates' responsibilities with Common Purpose, Overall Performance, and Global Success
  • Empower teammates to identify challenges using root cause analysis, troubleshoot solutions, and understand the rationale behind actions
  • Meet budgets in sales, profitability, all P&L categories, metrics, and overall store results
  • Create community involvement opportunities, host events, support volunteer activities, and actively recruit within the community
  • Gain deep understanding of industry and competitor trends to prepare teammates to serve Athletes
  • Support Experience and Community Teams with in-store events
  • Ensure execution of key strategies from CSC partners through the product life cycle to drive new business sales
  • Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of seasonal Gameplan sets and updates in assigned departments
  • Routinely walk the store to validate visual standards, identify opportunities based on sell-through, new receipts, and sales trends, and collaborate with teammates for quick reactions
  • Educate and empower the team to be technical experts, owning high standards in skillset, product knowledge, operational excellence, and visual execution
