  • Understanding of root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and cascading company vision and purpose
  • Capability to meet sales, profitability, and P&L budgets
  • Experience in community engagement, hosting events, and supporting volunteer opportunities
  • Knowledge of industry and competitor trends

Responsibilities

  • Hire and build strong teams by partnering with the Executive Director or Common Purpose Director to create targeted hiring strategies and ensure the team reflects the community
  • Follow standard operating procedures for performance management, handling teammate discipline, appraisals, performance concerns, and recommendations for termination or advancement
  • Directly manage teams in assigned departments (Apparel, Footwear, and Hardlines) and provide dotted line responsibility for other areas when serving as Head Coach or MOD
  • Lead through coaching and development, providing in-the-moment coaching and creating space for leaders to identify and solve opportunities
  • Serve as point of contact for implementing training initiatives, conducting one-on-one conversations, facilitating workshops, and role play exercises to meet athlete needs
  • Partner with peers to deliver great athlete experiences in specialized areas (e.g., Rockwall, MultiSport Cage, Social Fitting Room, Golf Services)
  • Conduct data digs using financial and operational tools to uncover trends and build strategies; control expenses and drive sales to maximize ROI
  • Utilize Legion guidelines, workload planner, and budget to build effective schedules across assigned departments
  • Cascade the company’s vision and provide direction to align teammate responsibilities with Common Purpose, performance, and global success
  • Empower teammates to identify challenges using root cause analysis, troubleshoot solutions, and understand the rationale behind actions
  • Meet budgets for sales, profitability, P&L categories, metrics, and overall store results
  • Create community involvement opportunities, host events, support volunteer activities, and actively recruit within the community
  • Gain deep understanding of industry and competitor trends to prepare teammates to serve athletes
  • Support Experience and Community Teams with in-store events
  • Ensure key strategies from CSC partners are executed and maintained through the product life cycle to drive new business sales
  • Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of seasonal Gameplan sets and updates in assigned departments
  • Routinely walk the store to validate visual standards
