The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a minimum of one year of relevant work experience in property management, including experience with LIHTC and Project Based Section 8 affordable housing programs, less than one year of supervisory experience, experience with various computer systems, including Microsoft Office, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills, superb attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and be trained.
As an Assistant Property Manager, the responsibilities include monitoring collections, posting rent payments, enforcing the collection policy, initiating legal action when required, facilitating all aspects of apartment leasing, providing exceptional customer service, responding to resident issues and complaints, assisting in physical and financial management, acting as Property Manager in absence of the Manager, preparing financial reports, monitoring accounts payable, and maintaining resident correspondence and recertification notices.
