Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, and ideally have some prior experience in communications or media relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to conduct thorough research and analyze media coverage. Familiarity with media monitoring tools and social media platforms is a plus.
The Assistant Account Executive will monitor and flag coverage across client, competitor, and industry news, developing client-facing coverage reports. They will conduct background research, compile, and analyze media or competitor coverage, providing client service and cross-team support by attending meetings, preparing agendas and recaps, handling scheduling and logistics, and preparing client status and activity reports. The role also involves developing briefing materials, including schedules, messaging, and reporter background to support media interviews, researching, outlining, writing, editing, and proofreading press materials, and demonstrating an understanding of research techniques. Furthermore, the Assistant Account Executive will engage with media, including developing relationships with reporters and influencers on behalf of the client.
