Salary Range
$95,600 - $162,400 USD
This salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand strategies and identify opportunities for analytics to drive decision-making.
- Define and develop analytic capabilities to address cross-business function challenges within a business unit.
- Support the analytical needs of various business functions, enabling strategic prioritization for maximum value delivery.
- Analyze Northern Trust’s core business processes and data flows to design and develop enduring solutions that provide historical and predictive analytical insights.
- Ensure best practice techniques are used for accurate and insightful data reporting.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of solutions that:
- Leverage and extend existing Business Intelligence and analytics infrastructure.
- Consider metric governance and enterprise solutions alignment.
- Are scalable, repeatable, and effective.
- Adhere to agreed-upon governance and technology policies, including Agile or SDLC processes.
- Assist with applying and developing statistical models/methods to address business issues.
- Develop metrics and create ad-hoc reporting as needed.
- Support internal customers with operational change management activities to realize business value from analytics solutions.
- Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved promptly.
- Rapidly and effectively adapt to highly dynamic and fast-paced work environments.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Foster a positive and collaborative environment.
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
- May lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
Requirements and Knowledge
- Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and/or business knowledge and functional expertise.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High flexibility and adaptability to change.
- Leadership and organizational skills to define Business Unit goals, resource needs, and assess/develop staff skills.
- Database systems competence.
- Familiarity with data analysis and/or reporting.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Experience with SQL and Excel.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong team/relationship building skills.
- Preferred:
- Familiarity with other analytics tools (e.g., Microsoft Business Intelligence Suite, QlikView, Informatica, or other tools).
- Familiarity with relational and dimensional database concepts, querying, data warehouses, requirements gathering, and/or decision support tools.
- Prior experience using statistical software or knowledge of various data mining and analytical tools (SSRS, SAS, etc.).
Experience
- A college or university degree and/or relevant demonstrated work experience.
