Requirements

  • Reside within the territory (Austin / Temple / Waco, TX)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to drive to multiple accounts throughout the region and travel outside the territory
  • Complete all modules in Medtronic Advanced Energy’s on-line training and attend home-office training program within the first month, scoring at least 90% on comprehensive test
  • Attend procedures with designated representative before training and be able to present the technology in the Operating Room or office setting within 45 days

Responsibilities

  • Create an effective sales presence in the assigned area
  • Learn the product line and its applications under different environments
  • Follow up on leads with a multi-prong contact approach
  • Achieve sales targets and quotas, including opening one new account with a stocking order within 90 days and meeting or exceeding quarterly revenue target within 180 days
  • Grow overall business > $200k in the first year, focusing on opening new accounts and maintaining existing business
  • During the first month: Meet with all key personnel to learn all aspects of the technology
  • Within 30 days: Prioritize the territory and profile four of the top 10 accounts
  • Within 45 days: Develop account plans for profiled accounts and conduct a complete review of the territory’s sales plans and current tactics, identifying key voids and developing new programs
  • Within 60 days: Implement Key Account Program, including identifying major new and existing accounts, reviewing selling process by account, identifying major target accounts, determining sales team and staff support needs, assessing need for new selling programs, conducting competitive analysis, and implementing plan of action
  • Keep current with administrative tasks
  • Interface with corporate team (marketing, engineering, clinical, and management) to support product development/launch and business growth
  • Utilize the Medtronic Sales process for each class of customers
