Candidates should possess experience in the automotive or financial industry, with proven ability to manage offshore development teams. Familiarity with web and application servers, NoSQL databases like MongoDB and MySQL, system security vulnerabilities and remediation, business processes, and the software development lifecycle is essential. Knowledge of ITIL-based IT service management best practices, cloud computing (specifically AWS), and at least 2 years of experience summarizing information visually through presentations are required. Experience working with outsourced third-party suppliers, translating requirements into technical solutions, and functioning in a product owner or business analyst role is also necessary. The role requires understanding and documenting as-is and to-be processes and data requirements, as well as familiarity with policy compliance requirements for SOX and Audit.
The Application Owner will serve as the subject matter expert for the application, evolving its configuration to meet changing business needs. This includes supporting application management for ongoing enhancement and maintenance, managing scope, and obtaining requirements and change requests for function, software architecture, and interfaces. Responsibilities also involve prioritizing and planning application feature development and releases to align with business goals, leading the delivery and maintenance of the product by guiding internal and external teams, and demonstrating direct responsibility for all aspects of development and release management, including project management and financial control. The role entails managing application controls, service levels, access rights, and overall operations, leading support for production issues, and partnering with other departments to ensure alignment and manage dependencies. Additionally, the Application Owner must understand and document application architectures, maintain documentation on compliance with IT policies and security requirements, support audit teams in remediation efforts, and participate in internal/external audits by gathering samples and submitting required documentation.
