Position Overview

Location: San Jose, California (Bay Area) Type: Full-Time | Hybrid Travel: 50%+ Travel Required

Fictiv is building the world’s premier platform for hardware manufacturing. As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) based in the San Jose Bay Area, you’ll provide critical boots-on-the-ground support to our U.S. network of manufacturing partners—driving improvements, elevating standards, and ensuring customers receive nothing but the best.

Responsibilities

• Drive Quality Excellence: Act as the voice of the customer on the factory floor. Resolve nonconformances and lead root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Partner Development: Onboard, assess, and develop manufacturing partners, leveraging control plans and scorecards to build quality in from the start.
• Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with sourcing, global quality teams, and the network to improve processes, standardize best practices, and share lessons learned.
• Remote + Onsite Engagement: Travel regularly to partner sites across the U.S. while using virtual tools to maintain momentum in between visits.

Requirements

• 5+ years in supplier quality engineering, preferably with mechanical hardware or parts.
• Proven success in holding suppliers accountable while maintaining positive working relationships.
• Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills.
• Solid knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and general QMS principles.
• Self-directed, data-driven, and process-oriented mindset.

Travel

• Frequent travel (51% or more) required throughout the U.S.

Salary Range

• $95,000 to $125,000 per year, depending upon experience.
