Requirements

  • 5+ years pre-sales, direct sales or consulting experience as an estimator, Field Service Engineer or other project/application engineering-focused positions
  • 10-25% travel to customers within assigned geography
  • Demonstrated understanding of Rockwell Automation application value, including knowledge in Automation products such as PLC (new and legacy product line), Standard Drives (LV/MV), Motion, Software, and Networks, as well as third-party products
  • Experience maintaining an organized and up-to-date pipeline of opportunities
  • Concern for the exact correctness of work and commitment to tasks completed
  • Exhibit teamwork, customer service and organizational skills
  • Retain and convey in challenging circumstances
  • Experience balancing multiple sales opportunities and projects simultaneously, ensuring management of partner expectations
  • Ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
  • Passionate about developing goals and processes to improve customer experience
  • Fluency with native language and command of English (written and spoken)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and understand customers' needs and position and quote a desired outcome for a solution
  • Work with Sales, Consultants and Specialists both internally and externally to assess and respond to projects and support services opportunities
  • Manage the process from request intake, through information gathering, scope definition, solution design, costing, and approvals
  • Collaborate with Sales, Solution Consultants, Sales Specialists, Engineering, Services, and peer proposal teams regional/global
  • Forecast the process, hold opportunity schedule reviews with distributor partners and manage their funnel
  • Demonstrate the ability to expand the scope of solutions requested by incorporating the full portfolio of LCS offerings when applicable
  • Support sellers in engaging main customer partners to influence them to value Rockwell Automation as a trusted delivery partner
  • Provide domain expertise during negotiations phase of a project, developing and aligning scope with customer budgets
  • Support forecasting, review opportunities with distributors, and manage the opportunity pipeline
  • Develop technical solutions and management processes by implementing systems or enterprise-wide solutions using Rockwell or third-party hardware/software products
  • Develop and recommend solutions and strategies based on goals and existing systems infrastructure
  • Participate in sales and proposal presentations in addition to completing ongoing team account activities
  • Identify additional product/services opportunities in customer organization
