About the Role: Kraken Analytics

Kraken Analytics are the team who lead on data and analytics products, workflows and analyses in the Kraken world. We are the data support network for both clients and internal teams who need help getting the most out of their data, and need focused guidance around how to achieve their reporting goals. We are responsible for building and maintaining core datasets for every Kraken instance that can be used to quickly and efficiently answer a wide range of demands, measure performance, and ensure consistency across clients and markets.

The industry is at the beating heart of the business for Kraken's clients, with hundreds of thousands of messages and processes occurring every day. Your focus will be on understanding how well we're enabling our clients to interact with their respective markets, defining metrics and benchmarks for success, and working with stakeholders across the business and tech teams to improve their products.

Responsibilities

• Become a subject matter expert on the Kraken data model across your regions as well as the application as a whole.
• Lead on developing key reporting and metrics focused around industry communications and processes.
• Build, maintain and assure reports for senior Kraken management and external clients.
• Be exposed to new technologies and tools, and receive guidance on developing your skills.
• Build and maintain dashboards and data apps for senior stakeholders.
• Build core datasets capable of answering key business questions.
• Contribute to the development of the Kraken Analytics team.
• Work on strategic projects end to end.
• Respond to client queries about Kraken's data model.
• Work closely with a broad range of teams at Kraken.
• Develop your engineering skills.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Strong level of data skills/analytics experience.
• Comfortable with energy/utilities and other relevant subject areas.
• Learns fast and is enthusiastic about learning new technologies & processes.
• Be highly proficient in DBT and SQL, capable of working on large complex datasets while seeing the big picture.
• Experience building data pipelines and working with engineering teams.
• Curious and self-driven - when faced with a new problem is capable of seeking out an answer without lots of help and support.
• Highly data literate and numerate - can make sense of lots of data and shape it into a coherent story.
• Great communicator, can explain complex concepts clearly.
