Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Life Sciences (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
  • 10–15 years of experience in IT as a Business Analyst, including 6 years in a Central Lab or Clinical Trials environment preferred
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and managing data in complex systems
  • Proficiency with PowerBI to translate datasets into dynamic visualizations and insights
  • Knowledge of lab data structures, enterprise platforms, and clinical research workflows
  • Deep understanding of business applications and client requirements in a regulated setting
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, and coordination skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • Functional knowledge of English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

  • Define the scope and objectives of business systems through research and collaboration with stakeholders
  • Analyze user needs and adjust system logic to enhance efficiency and performance
  • Oversee business systems projects from inception through implementation and support
  • Design PowerBI dashboards and functional prototypes to support data-driven requirements gathering
  • Extract, query, and interpret complex lab data using SQL to inform clinical and operational decisions
  • Translate technical infrastructure requirements into accessible documentation and actionable plans
  • Mentor and guide less-experienced Business Systems Analysts
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to align technology with business goals in clinical trial settings
