Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related scientific field (equivalent work experience will be considered)
  • Graduate degree in business or a scientific field desired (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum ten (10) years of sales success in a life science field
  • Minimum five (5) years of sales experience related to bioproduction
  • Proven excellence in the selling processes
  • Experience in training sales representatives in the sales process, account development, territory management, and product-technical knowledge
  • Excellent behavioral/interpersonal skills and competencies (goal setting, drive-for-results, commitment-to-task, teamwork, leadership)
  • Ability to drive goal attainment through effective networking and influencing, overcoming obstacles, demonstrating passion and integrity
  • Proficiency in communicating effectively throughout all levels of an organization
  • Sound judgment and tact when working with internal and external customers
  • Moderate travel required (approximately 25-40%), including visits to Asia 1-2 times per year

Responsibilities

  • Own new business and recurring business growth for peptones and sera product lines in Americas and APJ regions
  • Manage current customer relationships in coordination with TSS and BAM teams
  • Develop regional sales strategies to drive a robust pipeline of new opportunities aligned with Supplements BU strategy
  • Meet strategic and growth goals for revenue and bookings
  • Seek new opportunities, coordinating with AMER selling pods/teams and APJ regional teams to increase sales funnel and accelerate closure rates
  • Collaborate and mentor commercial team members and influence cross-division partners to develop account growth strategies
  • Consult with core account managers (CAMs) and internal Planning collaborators on acquiring customer forecasts
  • Close commercial and coordinate technical aspects of opportunities in partnership with selling teams
  • Establish and build relationships with key contacts at strategic accounts
  • Drive business unit strategy and priorities at the account level throughout the selling process
  • Attend and influence pipeline reviews with each TSS region for both product lines
  • Participate in the BCD commercial forecast mechanism for Supplements
