Requirements

  • Bachelor’ Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related scientific field, equivalent work experience will be considered
  • Graduate degree in business or a scientific field is desired, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum ten (10) years of sales success in a life science field, five (5) years related to bioproduction
  • Proven excellence in the selling processes
  • Experience in training sales representatives in the sales process, account development, territory management, and product-technical knowledge
  • Excellent behavioral/interpersonal skills and competencies such as goal setting, drive-for-results, commitment-to-task, teamwork and leadership
  • Ability to drive goal attainment through effective networking and influencing, overcoming obstacles, demonstrating passion and integrity
  • Proficiency in communicating effectively throughout all levels of an organization
  • Shows sound judgment and tact when working with internal and external customers
  • Moderate travel (approximately 25-40%) is required, with visits to Asia 1-2 times per year

Responsibilities

  • Seeks new opportunities, coordinating with the AMER selling pods/teams and APJ regional teams to increase the sales funnel of opportunities and accelerate closure rates
  • Collaborates and mentors commercial team members and influences cross-division partners, to develop account growth strategies
  • Consults with core account managers (CAMs) and internal Planning collaborators on acquiring customer forecasts
  • Closes the commercial and coordinates the technical aspects of opportunities in partnership with the selling teams
  • Establishes and builds relationships with key contacts at strategic accounts
  • Drives business unit strategy and priorities and deploys at the account level throughout the selling process
  • Attends and influences pipeline reviews with each TSS region for both product lines
  • Participates in the BCD commercial forecast mechanism for Supplements
