Requirements

Candidates must possess at least 10 years of professional work experience, including knowledge of Cerner Referral Management and Community Care solution configuration, and experience managing Information Technology-related projects. Proficiency in life cycle and project management methodologies, demonstrated experience in tracking project costs, schedules, and performance progress, and a strong ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks are required. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related scientific/technical discipline is necessary, with an option for an additional 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree. Preferred qualifications include experience working with the VA, implementing Electronic Health Records (EHR), and familiarity with Cerner Millennium (2018 code levels or higher) and Cerner Model recommendations.

Responsibilities

The Ambulatory/PEVH Solution Advisor will support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) by providing Cerner expertise and advisory support. Key responsibilities include reviewing task orders and deliverables for compliance, supporting workflow documentation, identifying and mitigating risks, and providing expertise in Referral Management and Community Care. The role involves assisting with trouble ticket resolution, change requests, testing, and design collaboration with Oracle Health and VA stakeholders. Additionally, the advisor will support cutover, go-live, and post-go-live activities, offer project management support, facilitate collaboration between various teams, support informaticists and solution experts, manage ticket and change request activities, support testing activities, monitor Oracle Health activities, and manage project execution, briefing materials, and risk activities.
