Advisory Solution Consultant - Strategic HCLS Accounts

Position Overview

ServiceNow is seeking an Advisory Solution Consultant to join our Solution Consulting team, focusing on supporting HCLS (Health and Life Sciences) Solution Sales. This role is critical for driving revenue across our product suite, working in close partnership with Sales, Product Management, and the executive team. As a hands-on technical consultant, you will be responsible for both the breadth and depth of solution delivery and positioning during sales cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist sales personnel in qualifying enterprise customer needs and conducting pre-demo needs analysis.
  • Serve as the lead technical advisor for strategic accounts.
  • Mentor and train peers and other colleagues within the organization.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, both standard and tailored, to prospects and existing customers, onsite and via web meetings.
  • Generate product demo scripts and scenarios, and maintain demonstration environments.
  • Scope and deliver Proof of Concept (POC) / Proof of Value (POV) engagements with prospects.
  • Respond to Request for Information (RFI) / Request for Proposal (RFP) documents.
  • Stay current on product developments and releases relevant to demonstrations and POCs.
  • Support marketing events, including user conferences, trade shows, and webinars.
  • Maintain up-to-date competitive analyses and understand key differentiators.
  • Understand business and technical challenges addressed by our products, including relevant regulations, business drivers, evolving needs, and security considerations in relation to customer strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct transition briefings with Sales Personnel and Professional Services to communicate commitments and expectations for deployment.
  • Act as the ServiceNow subject matter expert during executive briefings and marketing events.

Qualifications

  • Experience leveraging or critically thinking about integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving (e.g., using AI tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI insights).
  • 7+ years of pre-sales solution consulting or sales engineering experience in a relevant product area.
  • Strong pre-sales experience; ITSM & ITOM experience (tool or business process) is advantageous.
  • Experience selling into and/or working with Pharma/Life Sciences is a strong preference.
  • Mastery of the sales process and ability to act as a trusted advisor to account representatives.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in web technology and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying both technical and business concepts.
  • Understanding of and experience selling to enterprise IT architecture.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with product management, product marketing, partners, and professional services.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a growth mindset, and a desire to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
  • Background in ITIL, Service Management, Asset Management, IT Management, or IT Operations Management.
  • High degree of passion, energy, and drive.

  • Salary: $146,000 - $241,000 (Base pay for this location)
