Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Ad Operations Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing and optimizing our digital advertising stack, ensuring seamless ad delivery, and collaborating with various teams to enhance ad performance and user experience.
Requirements
Skills Required:
- 3+ years of experience in digital ad tech, programmatic operations, or publisher-side ad operations.
- Skilled in A/B testing ad placements and creatives to boost performance.
- Proficient with ad tech tools like Google Ad Manager and programmatic platforms.
- Experience troubleshooting ad delivery and reporting issues.
- Knowledge of header bidding setup and optimization.
- Experience conducting QA on ad tags and creatives for cross-device compatibility.
- Proven ability to collaborate with tech teams to test and implement new ad features.
- Understanding of site load and creative load impact on user experience and ad performance.
- Familiarity with video ad formats and compliance with IAB standards.
- Deep understanding of header bidding (Prebid.js), SSPs, and Google Ad Manager.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and debugging skills (Chrome DevTools, Charles Proxy).
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with server-side header bidding.
- Exposure to curated marketplaces and PMP deal management.
- Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and basic front-end development.
- Software Engineering Background.
Responsibilities
Ad Stack Management & Optimization:
- Implement and manage header bidding solutions (e.g., Prebid.js, server-side bidding).
- Maintain and optimize all ad tag setups for display, video, and native inventory.
- Work within Google Ad Manager (GAM) to set up ad units, line items, and targeting.
SSP & Partner Integration:
- Manage technical configuration of SSPs (e.g., Magnite, Index, Publift).
- Support PMP and curated marketplace deal execution from a technical standpoint.
- Monitor bid responses, demand partner health, and ad performance.
- Work closely with engineers in testing new ad technology to run across the ACM network.
- Identify and resolve issues related to ad serving, latency, bid errors, and measurement discrepancies.
- Work with the Yield team to provide technical insights on auction dynamics, fill rates, and discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and manage Consent Management Platforms (CMPs).
- Support implementation of IAB frameworks (e.g., TCF v2.2, Seller Defined Audiences/Curation Framework).
