Candidates should possess project management skills to track and manage customer timelines with allocated resources, along with an understanding of data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology. Hands-on experience with SQL is required, complemented by familiarity with database technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Azure SQL, and BigQuery, as well as scripting languages like Python. Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is essential, alongside the ability to solve customer-specific business problems and apply Snowflake’s solutions. A University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is needed, and the SnowPro Core certification is a plus. Understanding of Data Science concepts is beneficial.
The Activation Solution Engineer will engage with newly signed customers through quick start outreach within the first 90 days, setting objectives and generating relevant documentation. They will be accountable for documenting onboarding activities in tools like Salesforce, collaborating with account teams to highlight risks and engage cross-functional resources, and answering technical questions from customers regarding Snowflake’s technology and solutions. This role involves identifying gaps and enablement assistance for customer’s technical users, orchestrating Snowflake’s internal programs to support the customer’s onboarding journey, and managing a customer portfolio to increase platform usage, adoption, and growth through retention and growth strategies. Furthermore, they will promote self-sufficiency by creating and sharing knowledge, provide sentiment analysis and success planning, and identify recurring problems to suggest continuous improvement, while also handling multiple projects simultaneously and communicating Snowflake’s vision to diverse audiences.
