Requirements

  • Degree in Life Sciences
  • Strong and proven sales experience in a relevant industry (previous exposure to microscopy, spatial biology and/or proteomics strongly preferred)
  • Hands-on, operational sales capabilities with a strategic and structured mindset to define mid-term strategy for a team and execute it
  • Strong communication skills and sound business acumen, driven to exceed targets and reach goals
  • Ability to travel 40% (overnight, within territory or locations)
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

  • Own, manage, and grow the microscopy business in the Berlin area
  • Maintain existing accounts and find new customers to reach growth targets
  • Develop strategies to win new business through advanced geographic key account planning, account mapping, and networking
  • Deploy, coordinate, and leverage the Leica team (Key Account Managers, Advanced Workflow Specialists, Product Sales Specialists, Marketing colleagues, and Channel Partners) to ensure customers engage with the right people at the right times
  • Act as the decision-maker on how to serve customers in the defined geographic account area
  • Manage opportunities and the sales funnel proactively to produce accurate forecasts for business planning
  • Be customer-facing and proactive, with an expectation to be on-site with customers three days a week
  • Provide regular weekly reporting on the sales funnel and other key metrics
  • Work with customers to find solutions benefiting their research needs, increasing satisfaction, retention, and sustained business growth
  • Enhance team collaboration to ensure customers receive the best possible service and support
  • Shape the direction of the company’s growth initiative and contribute to long-term success in the region
  • Learn and utilize the Danaher Business System to address challenges and find new opportunities
