Employment Type: Full-time Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week Salary: Up to £47,500 + up to 20% bonus + £600 per month car allowance Location: Field based covering Sandbach, Whitchurch, Crewe, Northwich

Position Overview

Tandem is seeking an ambitious and dedicated Account Manager to join our movement for positive change. This role focuses on creating and maintaining relationships with introducing used car dealers, attending face-to-face appointments, and conducting telephone/email negotiations to offer competitive finance terms. The primary goal is to meet individual targets and adhere to company policies while contributing to Tandem's mission of making greener lifestyles more accessible.

Your Impact: Building a Greener Tomorrow

As an Account Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Business Development:
    • Creating quality used car dealer relationships within your geographical area.
  • Account Management:
    • Managing existing used car dealers to ensure they meet their sales and efficiency targets.
    • Offering excellent customer service.
  • Sales & Negotiation:
    • Attending face-to-face dealer onsite meetings and negotiations.
    • Offering competitive finance facilities to used car dealers.
  • Performance & Collaboration:
    • Achieving business targets and personal objectives.
    • Being an active team player.
    • Attending 121s and team meetings in our office locations (typically Cardiff/Blackpool).

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Effective communication styles and methods for interacting with used car dealers.
  • The ability to work independently, set priorities, and take a lead role.
  • Accountability for personal performance.
  • Clear, fair, and non-misleading verbal and written communication skills with customers.
  • The capacity to work under pressure in a target-driven environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time/diary management skills.
  • The ability to research, digest, analyze, and present material clearly and concisely to senior management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive work ethic and strategic thinking in a fast-moving environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to a wide variety of tasks and willingness to work extra hours when needed.
  • The ability to present to motor dealers of all sizes and types.

Desirable Experience (Not Essential)

  • Previous experience in motor finance or associated businesses within the motor industry.
  • A good understanding of the digital marketplace within the motor finance industry.
  • An understanding of the regulatory environment within the motor industry.
