Requirements

  • A minimum of four years sales experience
  • Proven track record of success in selling solutions to corporate or financial customers
  • Ability to develop strong business relationships in a phone-based and in-person environment
  • Strong level of business understanding for the industries covered in their set of customers

Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of business (typically 30-40 companies) and prospect for new business
  • Retain and grow existing contract revenue within assigned customers
  • Generate new streams of Dow Jones revenue by meeting new business targets through sales of products and services addressing prospects' business needs
  • Identify prospects by completing territory analysis, identifying potential buying centers, roles, and individuals, and developing/executing a plan to grow the territory
  • Maintain good levels of customer satisfaction through regular communication and build solid working relationships with customers
  • Develop and execute a plan to manage all account renewals, initiating communication at the right time and fulfilling contractual obligations
  • Handle all areas of account management, including developing account understanding, understanding clients' businesses, resolving issues timely, and understanding competitor solutions and client needs
  • Ensure appropriate levels of customer training and awareness through personal efforts and partnering with the Account Development Team (rollout and adoption)
  • Identify opportunities for increased revenue within accounts (up-selling and cross-selling) and engage Sales Specialists as appropriate to close deals
  • Work on retention, teamwork, and initiate sales activity with new buying centers independently or with Sales Specialists
