Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and one or two years of professional sales experience in agriculture or an industry-related field. Strong sales skills and knowledge of the territory, which includes Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Maine, are required, as well as the ability to maintain primary residence in Eastern Ohio, Pennsylvania, or New York.

Responsibilities

The Account Manager will manage corporate relationships with distribution partners, increase market share through daily interactions, promote and sell Neogen’s Products to the distribution channel, including two-step distributors, catalogs, mass retailers, and dealers. They will call on customers and prospects, communicate with the customer base, develop formal sales plans and strategies, meet or exceed sales targets, document customer interactions in CRM, quote prices, support sales efforts, represent the company at trade shows and meetings, analyze market trends, participate in budgeting, resolve customer billing issues, and operate office equipment. They will also analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements and participate in the resolution of customer billing or collection problems.
