Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree, or have at least 2 years of proven experience as a top-level sales performer in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, durable medical equipment, or as a healthcare leader in a clinical setting. Clinical experience in a Respiratory environment, specifically as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), is preferred. Significant experience in negotiating and closing new business or managing budgets is required, along with demonstrated strategic selling skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential, as are outstanding written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills. A valid driver's license is mandatory.
The Account Executive will be responsible for selling Respiratory Health products to various healthcare facilities, including hospitals, physician offices, clinics, home care, and long-term care facilities. They will develop and implement strategic territory sales plans for Baxter's Respiratory Health products, programs, and services, managing both clinical and financial aspects of accounts. Key duties include meeting or exceeding sales quotas, managing a territory of 100-125 targets, prospecting for new business (15-20% of time), communicating competitive differentiation to increase sales, and completing company reports and projects by deadlines. The role also requires understanding and complying with company and regulatory policies.
