The role requires demonstrated ability to oversee operational excellence, develop strategies for high-quality deliverables, and manage financial portfolios. Strategic relationship maintenance and client interaction at a senior leadership level are essential, along with experience in business development and driving business strategy focusing on innovation, operational efficiency, and global footprint expansion. Therapeutic expertise in project delivery execution, including quick and appropriate reaction to escalations, critical thinking, financial negotiations, and risk/issue management, is necessary. Experience in proposal strategy development and bid defense is also required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Director, Project Management will oversee operational excellence for the Respiratory Trials Team, developing strategies to ensure high quality deliverables and successful management of the financial portfolio. They will maintain strategic relationships and serve as a senior leadership contact for clients, providing input to business development and driving business strategy. The role involves accountable strategic indication or client-specific portfolio management within a Therapeutic Unit, providing therapeutic expertise in project delivery execution, and reacting quickly to escalations. This position will provoke critical thinking in Project Leads regarding delivery operations, financial negotiations, and risk mitigation/issue management, and drive overall strategy development for proposals and pre-proposal opportunities. Responsibilities may include managing staff, reviewing financial forecasting, championing organizational changes, and initiating collaboration with Therapeutic Unit Heads for business growth strategies.
