Planet is a space and data company dedicated to using satellite imagery to address global challenges. We operate the largest constellation of imaging satellites and provide data to commercial, environmental, and humanitarian sectors. We are seeking a driven Account Executive to expand our Government sales pipeline and book of business in South Korea and Taiwan. This role requires a strong understanding of government procurement processes and the ability to build relationships with key decision-makers.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of selling in government and defense sectors.
  • Extensive network within Government Intelligence, Defense, and National Security institutions.
  • Understanding of government procurement processes and frameworks.
  • Ability to identify, qualify, negotiate, and close large and medium-size deals.
  • Strong sales forecasting skills.
  • Understanding of government customers.
  • (Ideally) Military experience.
  • (Ideally) Technical understanding of geo-spatial imagery products or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and qualify new sales leads within the target market (South Korea and Taiwan).
  • Provide product and sales demonstrations to prospective customers.
  • Formulate appropriate business strategies and proposals.
  • Source, sell, and co-sell opportunities.
  • Close deals and meet sales quotas.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Forecast accurately based on the incoming pipeline of opportunities.
