Position Overview

Hexagate is a leader in real-time Web3 security, providing solutions to detect and mitigate on-chain risks and threats for blockchains, DeFi protocols, asset managers, and exchanges. Our technology proactively monitors and analyzes smart contracts, transactions, wallets, and blockchain interactions to prevent financial crime and exploits. We partner with major players in the crypto and DeFi space, securing billions of dollars and enabling them to operate and build on-chain securely and reliably.

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for the entire sales cycle for our crypto-native prospects. This includes building target lists, conducting outreach and qualification, delivering product demonstrations, and closing deals. You will engage directly with DeFi protocols, chains, foundations, and security-conscious builders. This role requires a strategic and hands-on approach, with a deep understanding of buyer personas and the ability to articulate how Hexagate addresses their most critical security challenges. You will collaborate closely with Solutions Engineering, Product Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Stay informed about the latest blockchain trends to identify new market opportunities.
  • Manage the full inside sales cycle for mid-market customers (typically below $50K ACV), from qualification to close.
  • Conduct technical discovery conversations to understand prospect security postures, infrastructure, and risk models.
  • Partner with Solutions Engineers to deliver tailored demos and technical validations.
  • Convert inbound interest and drive outbound pipeline through targeted outreach and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to identify common objections and align sales materials with customer needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security trends, on-chain risks, and the evolving Web3 landscape.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of quota-carrying experience in B2B SaaS and/or blockchain infrastructure sales.
  • Proven track record of managing 30-60 day sales cycles and closing mid-market deals.
  • Strong communication and consultative selling skills, effective with both technical and business audiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of Web3, Bridges, and DeFi protocol mechanics.
  • Curiosity about blockchain security, smart contract risks, and crypto infrastructure. While expertise isn't required, a strong desire to learn quickly is essential.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, high-context environment.
  • Self-starter mindset with a bias for action and results.
