Requirements

The Access Center Navigator should have a thorough understanding of Virtua services, including tests, preps, and procedures, as well as knowledge of insurance plans, medical terminology, and financial assistance programs. Familiarity with databases such as Epic, Calibrio, CRM, Cisco phone system, and the Physician database is also required.

Responsibilities

The Access Center Navigator will serve as a point of contact for physicians, patients, and caregivers to assess Virtua Health services and convert interested callers into appointments, referrals, or service utilization. This role involves navigating patients through the continuum of care, acting as a concierge service to improve customer outcomes and satisfaction, and coordinating appointments, class registrations, and physician referrals. The navigator will also help patients overcome barriers to care, such as arranging transportation or connecting them with financial counseling, perform data entry with accurate patient information and coding, deliver monthly performance reports, follow up with patients, and maintain confidential records while resolving routine inquiries.
