A Bachelor’s degree is required (Master’s or graduate student preferred), experience working with students in grades 6-12 and college (especially those with ADHD, anxiety, or learning struggles), and strong communication skills in-person, via phone, and email. Preferred candidates are pursuing or working towards careers as Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Special Education teachers, or general education teachers. Key characteristics include being personable, flexible, responsive, passionate about teaching, and willing to learn.
The role is part-time, requiring availability to work at least 5 hours per week with flexibility in evenings and/or weekends, and a commitment of at least 12 months.
Strong candidates have a Bachelor’s degree (advanced degrees preferred), direct experience with students facing learning challenges, relevant professional backgrounds in education or therapy, and personal traits like being personable, flexible, responsive, passionate about teaching, and coachable.
