This role focuses on providing personalized career coaching to Springboard students, supporting them in their job search and career goals. You will work 1:1 or in groups, assisting students in revamping their careers and achieving their desired outcomes.

Note: The minimum required hours are 12, with a maximum of 25 hours per week. This includes coaching calls and does not include administrative tasks, which are billed separately. Consider student scheduling needs (full-time working, families) when planning your hours.

Requirements

  • Experience in career coaching or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the technical job market and hiring trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide empathetic and supportive guidance to students.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems for tracking student progress.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and/or group career coaching regarding job search in technical fields within a high-volume, online environment.
  • Respond promptly and supportively to student career concerns and questions via email and to manager’s inquiries about students’ progress.
  • Track outcomes of coaching calls via the student CRM, providing detailed notes and information to evaluate risk factors, track success, and predict future performance, as outlined by the Springboard Career Success Team.
  • Implement effective coaching strategies to ensure students are competitive candidates for technical jobs, staying up-to-date on current hiring trends and job search tactics.
  • Hold students accountable to policies designed to meet placement rate goals and the integrity of the Job Guarantee program.
  • Support career curriculum and resource development, including the development of career webinars and administration/facilitation of them.
  • Escalate and develop inter-team collaboration as needed.
