Requirements

  • JD or experience in legal education and/or legal technology
  • 8+ years of professional experience in partnerships, business development, consulting, strategy, or sales
  • Demonstrated experience in building strong partnerships and relationships
  • Experience scaling programs while working cross-functionally
  • Strong operational chops to move quickly
  • Expertise in technology, especially AI tools and other SaaS products
  • Experience managing and motivating a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel for conferences and meetings
  • Growth mindset when it comes to process improvement and new technologies, especially AI

Responsibilities

  • Manage a tight-knit team focused on ensuring Clio’s successful partnership with law schools
  • Define the strategic vision for Clio’s academic access program
  • Identify target law schools and partner with them in a scalable manner
  • Generate sales to law schools of Clio’s products and services
  • Serve as a thought leader, trusted advisor, and thought partner to leaders in the legal education space
  • Own the day-to-day relationship with law school partners
  • Drive training, support, and partner success to ensure that schools are successful
  • Work cross-functionally across Clio teams to ensure internal alignment and partner success
  • Serve as the company’s ambassador at law schools, conferences, and legal tech events
  • Help to reaffirm the perception that the company is a leader in innovation, AI, and the business and practice of law
