Requirements

  • Fluency in English both written and spoken
  • At least 7 years of industry experience or a master’s degree in the relevant field
  • Expert proficiency in Apache Kafka and the Kafka ecosystem
  • Ability to build and deploy solutions using Apache Spark and Spark Streaming
  • Knowledge of Stream Processing concepts, including windowing functions and event-driven architecture
  • Experience with Data Serialization (e.g., Avro) and Data Schema Registry
  • Knowledge of SQL for stream processing aggregations
  • Experience teaching technical concepts and public speaking
  • Ability to organize technical talks or webinars
  • Positive character and ability to create emotional ties with students
  • Flexibility to take on a part-time role as an external contractor

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for students over an online community forum
  • Answer questions around course content and facilitate content for students who get stuck
  • Host one weekly live virtual session to offer direct, real-time support to students
  • Redirect learners to appropriate support channels
  • Escalate issues to the Mentor Operations team when needed
