Requirements

Fluency in English both written and spoken
At least 7 years of industry experience or a master’s degree in the relevant field
Expert proficiency in Apache Kafka and the Kafka ecosystem
Ability to build and deploy solutions using Apache Spark and Spark Streaming
Knowledge of Stream Processing concepts, including windowing functions and event-driven architecture
Experience with Data Serialization (e.g., Avro) and Data Schema Registry
Knowledge of SQL for stream processing aggregations
Experience teaching technical concepts and public speaking
Ability to organize technical talks or webinars
Positive character and ability to create emotional ties with students
Flexibility to take on a part-time role as an external contractor

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for students over an online community forum
Answer questions around course content and facilitate content for students who get stuck
Host one weekly live virtual session to offer direct, real-time support to students
Redirect learners to appropriate support channels
Escalate issues to the Mentor Operations team when needed
