A Bachelor’s degree is required (Master’s or graduate student preferred), experience working with students in grades 6-12 and college (especially those with ADHD, anxiety, or learning struggles), and availability for at least 5 hours per week with flexibility in evenings/weekends. Preferred candidates are pursuing or working towards careers as Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Special Education teachers, or general education teachers.
Ideal candidates are personable and able to connect with students and parents, flexible and easy-going, responsive and prompt, have a passion for teaching others, and are willing to learn and be coached.
Strong candidates have a Bachelor’s degree (preferably pursuing advanced education in psychology, counseling, therapy, or education), direct experience with students facing learning challenges, excellent communication skills for in-person, phone, and email interactions with parents, and a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends for at least 5 hours weekly over 12 months. Personable traits, passion for teaching, and eagerness to learn are key.
